Handmade rugs are generally made from the wool which is organic and natural, these are made by the villager woman in Turkey, especially in Anatolia. When you compare to hand made carpets with the machine made carpets, machine made carpets are made of synthetic and the polyester but the handmade carpets mostly made from the organic wool and sometimes cotton. 

All rugs been professionally cleaned, age related wear and natural inconsistencies are inherent in these unique, handmade vintage rugs.
